A perfect example of a vintage Telecaster just arrived on our shores. This guitar was hand selected by Baxter out in California for its perfect flash coat finish, the gorgeous fade of the burst, the glove like fit of the neck (its one for the record books), and the "tele" tone that just rings through! Also, it is immensely fun fun fun to play. This Telecaster had to be asked to be put down as we couldn't stop playing it as the camera rolled.
The tone is perfectly "tele" by nature and immediately comfortable. The hand wound 58 pickups have a warmth and snap mixed with a superbly comfortable 59 large "C" neck to equal a perfect playing combination. The surprise was the compound radius, we did not even realize it was on there until we kept asking "why does this thing play so darn comfortably all over the board." The 7.25 to 9.5 radius is outrageously fun and easy to play. Then you add the double binding to just say, howdy...I just wanted to throw on my finest jacket with these here blue jeans, take that.
