This is one of the best examples of an ES-175 that we have come across ever! The sound is exactly what you want when you plug into this jazz box. The neck pickup is squishy while the bridge pickup has a bit of growl to it. The natural compression from these golden era pickups really allow this guitar to shine. The playability is spot on and there are no neck or fret issues. This is one of the "cleanest" 50's Gibsons we have ever seen as well. The wiring and pots are spot on and we really cannot say enough about how these pickups interact with the wood in the guitar. There is a magic in striking a chord just a bit too hard and the natural breakup that occurs really is spectacular.
If you are looking for a piece of American guitar history it doesn't get much better than this!
