This is the one that started it all for Lowden back in the 70's. The O series is legendary to the acoustic guitar world and continues to push players to new sonic journeys with it's undeniably unique and Big sound. This piece, built in the hills of Northern Ireland is a cannon thanks to it's Claro Bastogne Walnut back and sides. The volume ceiling is non existent and the rich red cedar top gives this piece a singing warmth that is infectious and amazing.
The construction is otherworldly and finding even a place where the back pieces were joined is almost impossible. The fretboard, binding, rosette, well just about everything on this instrument is beyond compare.
Sonically this is a wonderful instrument that can not only be a booming beast but handles fines like a champ. We spent quite a time finger style on her and the top allows the notes to really come forth and sing.
This is truly an amazing piece from the makers at Lowden and we thank you for taking the time to view her.
